Introduction

The Vietnam Viral Hepatitis Alliance and its partners are proud to announce the Second Annual Scientific Conference on Current Concepts in Viral Hepatitis in Vietnam

“Hepatitis B and C in Special Populations”

* Special Populations include: pregnant women, children, persons with HIV, IV Drug Users, MSM, Health Care Workers, and persons with end stage liver disease including liver cancer. “

Conference Program Overview

To eliminate HBV-HCV infections, priority groups that have been disproportionately affected by viral hepatitis deserve  special focus. National policies, clinical practice guidelines, existing continuum of care pathways, and therapeutic agents that are currently in use for the management of HBV-HCV often lack evidence and/or support for use in the special populations. V-VHA and its partners are dedicating this Conference as a showcase for critical elements of a long-range and comprehensive plan to help address the special needs of the most vulnerable populations. The Conference will include state of the art lectures, panel discussions, case studies and poster presentations focusing on multiple aspects of HBV-HCV in the special populations. Regional to national epidemiological data, public health program impact, local best practices, and therapeutic strategies for viral hepatitis in 2017 and beyond will be presented. International and National experts with diverse backgrounds and distinguished track records in the field of viral hepatitis, will provide the lectures and guide the discussions. The Conference expects to attract approximately 500 physician scientists, physicians, public health specialists, other health care professionals, HBV-HCV or liver cancer patients, policy makers and relevant stakeholders in the field of viral hepatitis.

We hope you share the mission of taking concrete steps to markedly reduce the public health burden of Hepatitis B and C in Vietnam.

Please join us in support of this important conference — through participation, attendance, and financial contributions.
